GOTA Featured in The UK Sun

Thesun_2

Much thanks to the UK Sun for featuring a selection of my Celebrity Endorsements. I always enjoy British humour - "a Californian artist has 'ad' enough of celebrities and their bad behaviour". Thank you Mr. Biggs.

15 Minutes of European Fame

Press

Gallery of the Absurd is very grateful to have been featured in newspapers and magazines across Europe. Deutschland and France are especially kind to us - thank you. On newsstands this month, Marie France has a small feature on GoTA, and das kunstmagazin ART features our Brangelina and TomKat family portraits. In addition, GoTA is also featured here in the German Online-Newsmagazin RP Online and also in Velvet, a celebrity-themed Hungarian magazine.

Moving Pictures Magazine Feature

Picturesmoving

One of my favorite film industry magazines is Moving Pictures Magazine. This well written and thought provoking publication offers balanced insight and engaging commentary about film. This month's Morality issue (Oct/Nov 06) features four pages of illustrations from Gallery of the Absurd along with an interview with the 14. Much thanks to Elliot V. Kotek and Brittany Brenner.

Gallery of the Absurd Featured In The NY Times

Nyt_article
The article appeared in the Arts section of the Sunday, Oct. 8th issue of The New York Times and was so large we had to take a picture of it as proof. Even then, we still couldn't believe how LARGE it was. We're still in a state of shock. Read the article here. Much thanks to the NY Times!

Max_article
Much thanks to Max magazine, Gallery of the Absurd is honored to have appeared in your October 2006 Anniversary issue.

A Lot of Mileage From a Bag of Cheetos

Britspeared
When I saw my Cheetos Britney illustration in Star magazine's Best & Worst Beach Bodies issue, I was thrilled it was located just a few pages away from the photo of flabby Richard Gere as "Worst Body" (they referred to him as "American Jiggle-O"!!). Pictured here is the page I tore out and made into a painting. Also, a thank you to the New York Post for writing a small feature about Gallery of the Absurd. Medium: Page torn from Star magazine, acrylic, collage.

Yrb_release_party_flyer_3
YRB magazine's "Young Rich and Beautiful" March/April issue will feature a few illustrations from Gallery of the Absurd. I've got other upcoming magazine features and will post when information is available. More paintings coming soon, but a slight delay due to so much free-lance work. YAY! Please check back soon....and get out to the newstands and pick up your copy of YRB.

Faesthetic #5 Pick up the latest issue of Faesthetic's 5th Anniversary Issue. The work of over 80 artists is featured, including Robert Hardgrave, Tim Biskup, Bwana Spoons, Buff Monster....oh yeah, and 14! Only 1000 copies are available, so don't delay.
