Dora To Explore Older, Racier Market
According the Financial Times, Dora the Explorer, the wide-eyed cartoon character adored by young children around the world, is facing a makeover amid competition from older, racier rivals such as Bratz dolls and Disney taint. Execs feel they need to "invigorate the franchise" to appeal to older girls (8 - 12), and that means making Dora appear more "feminine" and mature. Based on current marketing trends, I took a stab at redesigning Dora to appeal to Bratz-loving little girls. Now she can explore the world in thigh-high boots and heavy makeup!

Looks like she went on a diet for the belly shirt reveal. Love how well matched her lipstick is to her shirt. From wholesome to loathsome in just a few easy steps!

I guess I will have to accept that the human mating ritual has gone back to baboon. You should start a clothing line called "Back to Baboon" - sort of like your seductive Baboon.

That's exactly what happened to Strawberry Shortcake! She went and got all ho'd up.

Now wait shouldn't you have dropped the book bag and just had her with a small purse and condoms sticking subtly out of it? Oh and have Boots the monkey be her pimp now we are international red light ready! ;D

You beat me to it 2nd commentor. My first thought was "Dora the Whora".
Where do you go when you don't know which corner to 'ho?
I'm the pimp, I'm the pimp, I'm the pimp, I'm the pimp. I'm the PIMP!

Yeah, that's about right. I won't let my little girls have Bratz dolls or anything else Bratz. I've always said they should be called Tartz.

Now they'll definitely have to bring back the multi-purpose Dora Aqua Pet:

Does this have anything to do with the fact that all my Engrish speaking friends are excited about 2008 being Erection Year?

Anyone who ever wanted to see what Kim Kardashian looked like at age 8 now has that gruesome scenario brought to rich and horrific life here.
Comic genius pops out of your pores like sweat, I swear.

And something tells me Boots turned into her thigh-high boots...

I love it! You're a genius 14 :)
I heard about this re-invention and was a bit worried. My little cousin adores Dora.

Jenn F, were you referring to this version of Strawberry Shortcake? Cuz, compared to the Bratz dolls, she's downright virginal!

What the...?! Dora The Explorer is meant for little kids! Dora is fine the way she is. She's a little girl!

Love the "Boy Explorer" shirt!
Yay!

Peta, you're right ~ the Bratz dolls are the biggest hookers in the toy store! Strawberry Shortcake's come a long way though, compared to what she looked like in the 80's... she's like the Miley Cyrus of the doll world ~ you can see the direction she's headed in, and she'll be surpassing the current ho's in no time! It must be Barbie's fault ~ that tramp corrupted them all.

OMG I'm blind - when I first read the shirt I thought it read Best Exploited not Boy Explorer =P

you guys are insane!!!! they havent released what the new dora will look like so all of you should just pipe down...i think its a great thing the reality is that like all children she has to grow up too there's nothing wrong with trying to appeal to older children
