Banner Ad Makeovers
BEFORE the Gallery of the Absurd deluxe makeover:

This is an actual banner ad I found on some hapless gossip blogger's site. I'm sure the advertiser anticipated a high click-thru rate when combining a photo of Angelina Jolie's lips with the thought-provoking and deeply philosophical query, "Whose Lips Are These?" Throw in a chance to win a Chili's gift card (Oh boy, deep fried objects on a platter!) and sit back and watch the clicks come in. Wrong.
AFTER the Gallery of the Absurd deluxe makeover:

Pump the celebrity gossip factor up several notches with the always entertaining trout pout reference. Sure, Angelina's Jolie's lips are a big draw (see Brangeloonie post below), but trout pouts are far more compelling. Add the words "free booze" in large font, along with non-readable small print stating there is no free booze, and you've got yourself web advertising gold!
If any of you come across a ridiculous web ad that needs a Gallery of the Absurd deluxe makeover, send it my way and I'll revamp it.

hahahaha

*snort!* 14, I swear! You're going to have to pay a visit to my home and wipe down the monitor! More coffee through my nose! Ouch! LOL! Love you!

No matter how "tired" I think Janice looks, you always make her seem fresh as a daisy in your portraits, 14 dear!

As I sit here and try to determine why the weighted average capital costs should not be a "hurdle" for measuring project risk or whatever the fuck, this made my day.
I like the idea that you offered free booze and said something about the reader being a fucking idiot in small print (i couldn't read it, God, it was small.
I can't get over these ads. They make us realize how desperate the human race is, don't they?

There's a bar in the Odéon in Paris (or there was) which had a number of plaques of famous lips (about 10 or 12)on the walls, about 20 times lifesize. They were spectacular. I can remember Brigite Bardot's, Jeanne Moreau's Louis Armstrong's and that's about all nowadays. If you knew who they were then, you were 'in', so I would think I'm probably very much 'out' by now; beatniks have been and gone.

Your banner is just so much more pleasing to the eye as well. I can't stand poorly designed ads like the one with Angelina Jolie's lips! It looks like first generation web design. You need to change the face of cheap web advertising!

I don't like your banner make over that much, because you can immediately tell it's Lisa Rinna, you shouldn't have included so much of the face! MORE SUBTLETY! :)
I can't read the small print, do I need to see an optometrist?

Personally, I'm quite fond of the ad that asks who body this is. The choices? 50 cent, Eminem, Nas. The problem? The body is as white as snow.
Hmmmm... whose body could that be? Think..think...

When the banks open Monday I'm going to go rob one or two so that I may buy representations of your vision.
