14 Debuts New Blog: Resplendent Chaos
Please welcome Resplendent Chaos to the vast Gallery of The Absurd network. Gallery of the Absurd will continue to focus on pop culture-inspired art and satire while Resplendent Chaos will feature other forms of art and experiments I mess around with in my free time. I'll still poke the likes of Heidi Montag and Paris Hilton with a sharp stick here on GOTA, while Resplendent Chaos will focus on projects such as abstract paintings, botany in wonderland, sculpture (coming soon), photography, playing cards, music composition (coming soon), urban ephemera, and whatever else happens to drift into my net. The illustration shown above is part of my series of "Engrish Poetry", directly inspired by my ongoing fascination of the surreal literary art form of Japanese "Engrish". Some of these illustrations have appeared on GOTA before, but now they have a new home on Resplendent Chaos. Both blogs will be updated weekly.

When do you find time to do all this? Are you one of those people who don't watch tv? You are an art dynamo, Ms. 14, and I bow down to your gifts once again.

Cool!!! I love all of your work and I'm so happy that you will now publish more! But I must say that I'm embarrassed that I didn't know that there was a name for what is called "Engrish." My grandmother buys toys for my kids-we'll call them inexpensive- but the packaging is sooo much more entertaining than the toys! Superfine gun! Hero the present age! Yeah!!

I love this work just as much as your skewering of the pop culture we all love to watch crash and burn daily and am adding this new site immediately

Every day I look at my print of this thing of Engrish surreal beauty hanging on my wall, and I just giggle like a Japanese schoolgirl at a Gwen Stefani show.
Thank you for sharing all sides of yer genius, Genius Girl. Keep it coming.
