The Five-Booted Grasshopper

5bootedgrasshopperlo

The Five-Booted Grasshopper is one of several curious creatures from my Botany in Wonderland series. Scientists are at a loss to explain why this majestic creature wears only five boots when it has six legs and are puzzled further why it chooses to wear shiny vinyl stilettos when it could easily choose a shoe that provides more comfort and stability. This is an older piece and has been posted to another blog buried in the depths of Gallery of the Absurd. Medium: ink and watercolor on page of old book.

As Paris would say, "That's hot." I love grasshoppers- I wish this one wasn't so upset...

Oh yay! I love this one! An absolutely fantastic concept, and executed with the usual care and loving detail. Everything about it, especially the added touch of the crown in the upper corner... it just makes me want to bounce in my chair, clap my hands with glee, and make short squealy sounds.

this one is fantastic. i hope you get a good deal on the prints, because i'd love to have a copy of this one....

This just makes me think of Lewis Carroll on acid - I suppose that was redundant. I dig this one so much.

Sexy boots - I love it.

I can't believe I'm looking at this, darling 14.
How absolutely adorable!
It's as if you have tapped into my subconscious, or my blog...
That delicious little creature is the Insect World's answer to the Domestic Minx.
It is an amalgamation of my serious love of insects (just written about)and my f#ck me boots. (Two only)...not the five that should be six...
The Domestic Minx, however, wears her crown at all times, being undisputed Mistress of the Domain...

These are really beautiful pieces, 14.

You are amazingly talented. This is beautiful!
